Our trained volunteers provide support to cancer patients and
their loved ones. Hospital and home visits, transportation services,
practical assistance, and emotional support during especially
stressful times are just some of the services they provide. There
is also someone available in the office should patients and family
members need referrals to other community agencies and services.
Foundation offers volunteer training to meet the needs of cancer
patients. Training includes 24 hours of seminars covering topics
such as counseling skills, understanding the special needs of cancer
patients, and the grieving process. Ongoing education for volunteers
is held throughout the year.
